Last nights game was pretty amazing. Fun to watch and glad to see the BSC get a little shook up. Hopefully some other top 10 teams lose today too.

^^
Didn't like how ISU campus acted like biggest win ever.

I did like how there coach tryed to tone down such sentiment after the game, then after his crowed filled, post game, on field interview, he raised his hands and let how a huge roar with the students.

Never seen Capt. Kirk get as excited/emotional ever. Let alone after a big win.

I'm sure the campus was insane last night esp after a day of tailgating. And it would probably a safe bet that was easily ISU's biggest win ever.

Statistically that is the biggest win ever for Iowa State.

Only an Iowa fan would try to take that from them. It was a great game let them celebrate.

In recent memory Iowa fans have stormed the field in 2008 vs #3 Penn State and in 2009 vs an unranked Michigan team while the Hawks were ranked #12. There's probably many more examples as well, but the point of this post is not to list them all but to give you some perspective.

For all those ho say things like act like you've been there before or they over reacted, ISU has never been there before and honestly not many programs have beat a #1 or #2 ranked team. The celebration was more than warranted. Much more than many of Iowa's field storming celebrations.

yep the only thing that was missing was some destroyed goalposts. They must crack down on that shit a little harder than they used to.

I agree with single L. That was some great game, and they deserve the celebration. Regarding unseemly celebration and goalposts, I was at the Iowa -Wisconsin game during our 2-9 1978 season. First win all season and we tore down the posts. I think we tore them down for our second win as well, and of course when we came close to beating Nebraska in 79. They were getting a little teed off. 8)

Your right, it was a huge win, on a huge isolated stage. Plenty of cause for celebration. I was more talking about some of the super douchebagery that accidentally was caught live on film during said celebration.

Unlike most Hawk fans, I like to see ISU do well in non-Hawk situations.

And I would give anything to have Kirk show half that emotion after a big win.

yeah, because IA state fans are the only group of 18-22 year olds that get drunk, watch their team do well and resort to douchbaggery. LMAO, it happens everywhere friend. And with more and more mediasharing, you're going to keep seeing it - or you can choose to watch something a little more uplifting, like say....Navy Seals.
