Iowa Hawkeye Wrestling

Didn't know if anyone watched the #3 Hawkeyes upset the #1 Cyclones? Sweet meet to watch that'll be on again tonight at 10 on PBS I believe. Hawkeyes will be ranked #1 or 2 after this one, hopefully number one. Returning to their old form. As long as they keep up the winning this Oklahoma State meet at Iowa will be sweet!

i was lucky enough to watch the whole thing. it was great seeing the hawkeyes look like the best team in the country (which is right where they are used to being).

I caught the last two matches. I didn't know how good Iowa's chances would be without Mark Perry but it looks like we did pretty well anyway. Iowa is now ready to return to national championship form with the Virginia Tech transfers being able to compete now.

I wanna go to the Iowa-Oklahoma St. meet but I'm not sure if I'll be in IC for it... I may just make the trip just to watch the match anyway.

I don't know when the Iowa-Minnesota meet is but that should be good as well. ISU beat Minnesota to take over the top ranking (for the time being) so the Iowa-Minnesota meet will be great as well.

I was wishing I had TiVo when I was watching the meet. They got a meet this Thursday at 6:30 vs. UNI this week, followed by Cornell. Should be a pretty easy sweep, may even see a shutout against one of them.

Definitely looking forward to Oklahoma State. Remember seeing them up here either last year or the year before. They brought a decent crowd. There fans were definitely the worst. Can't wait to see them again so I can rub it in there fans face, they're so cocky.

I was at the Iowa-Oklahoma St. meet two years ago when Ok St. still had Mocco, he got booed heavily and Ty Eustice beat #1 ranked Esposito.. after that Carver got louder than some basketball games I've been to. It's always a good meet.

I was at that meet too, it was intense. I'm still a little upset that Mocco left Iowa for Ok. State, but it made me chuckle when I saw that he went out for football after wrestling.

Iowa is ranked #1 once again and ISU drops to #2... The state of Iowa is back on top of the wrestling world!!! (o yea and for Corey's sake I'll mention UNI is ranked 25th)

I did for many years .... don't know hardly any of the kids today. Used to go to state and it seemed like I've seen or knew almost half or more of those wrestleres from youth wrestling over the years. Put alot of miles on the van going to youth and latter HS wrestling (Alll the 90's and up thru 2002/03)
