you never know, puffin...

Seriously, I agree w/ the statement "I can't believe both Mizzou & Illinois are both ranked", just as much as I can't believe the Hawkeyes are sludging along... It's a tough year, for sure - Hawkeye fans!

Why would anyone be suprised that the Illini would be ranked. There is a reason they hired the coach who recruited last years national champions. Florida's screw up will pay big dividends for the Illini as their recruitment gets better and better. Illini freshman WR Benn was considered by many to be the best high school player in the country last year, not just the best wide reciever, the best player at any position. I heard one expert make this statement "The Illini have something nobody else in the big ten has, speed on both sides of the ball." They are getting away from the old big ten mold with fast mobile quarterbacks and faster all around players. Look for them to dominate the big ten in years to come, just like basketball.

I would like to see Iowa win this weekend not only because of my love for the Hawkeyes but I love seeing upsets! But I'm also a realist and the Hawks will most likely get blown out... but we shall see!

It's an easy way for the University to make a few extra bucks. I won't buy one for that reason. If Iowa beats Illinois, I wouldn't be surprised to see the same thing.

I would agree................. Appalachian State is about the only team in the nation that could even pull off creating a shirt like the ones the Illini have..............but even then it's ghey.........A shirt like that says that you didn't show up to win, you just happened too..............

Yeah. It also says we were an unranked team and beat the No. 5 ranked team in the nation....and NOBODY gave us a chance in hell to do it. Oh yeah, it also may have something to do with Wisconsin having the longest winning streak in the country.

Knocking off Wisconsin was a huge deal for a team that had struggled for so long, I don't see anything wrong with taking pride in that. Not that you would catch me wearing one.
It also exposes how flawed college football ranking is. Illinois was favored by Vegas, they should let the casinos set the polls.

No way in hell will Iowa make a t-shirt about beating a ranked team, unlike Illinios other than this year we are used to beating ranked teams. Otherwise Iowa would have an ass load of t-shirts for the last few years. I really don't have anything against Illinios just another team to me but the t-shirts were a bad move.
