The back is in!! The pads get real slick if theres any snow on them. I wouldn't be shocked if the gate is locked now that it's snowed. It's about a 200 yd walk to 18 pad.

I think the course is great and back nine is the shit. Front nine is in good positions but some trees make for a tough "fairway." Overall, awesome course and can't wait for Frogs tourney. Yesterday saw Tony ace hole 5 with Frog and Clay also there. Also, on hole 17 I parked the middle position which I didn't think was to shabby of a drive. And anyone that says this course is like Shaver is PHUCKING CRAZY. This course is nothing like Shaver at all. Wildcat is much longer, lots of elevation, more fun, and much better pin locations. Glad it is so close to Cedar Rapids.

Good to hear all the positive comments.
It was just as much fun designing and building the course than it is playing it. :D

Yes Thanks!! We appreciate the positive feedback. It's been a blast in the snow so I cant wait for dry ground. We'll be addressing a few issues like the widow maker on 17 and a few others. As always we appreciate your support and if you see a park ranger or worker please let them know how much you like the course. If CR was as easy to work with as those guys we'd have more courses.

As we played yesterday we discussed the 2nd shots on holes 4 and 6 in the long positions are very tough and could maybe use just a little more breathing room to allow for the 2nd shot to be fair. This is not criticizing, just kind of our thoughts in the group. But again, kick as course!

I hear and feel your pain. I have actually gone through each hole a second time and cleared more and will most likely select a few more on another pass in April. But were getting there, and some clearing will have to come by natural means. 11 is another one that has issues. Another thing I have to deal with is Bit'chin bitching about me taking too many trees.

Holes #4 & #6, in the long positions, are tough by design.
Granted there are a lot of trees, but if you place your drive in the correct area of the fairway, it will reward you with an open second shot.
I think I've done that once on each hole so far! lol
So it can be done, which makes me come back for more.
