I need a putter

Postby 10up » Wed Feb 23, 2011 3:24 am

I have managed to lose two really old Millennium Supersofts in the last few months. A 1.2 proto and a 1.5...

I need similar frisbees. They don't come online and I've looked around at the few local shops that have absolutely nothing. I would be willing to pay a good price if I could get my hands on one of these, I doubt anybody has one though.

Also, I would alternately be interested in Chains Aviar.

If anybody has any of these in some old boxes or anything let me know. I can work something out to get it.

These come up for sale all the time over on Dgcoursereview.com. They have a very active marketplace with lots of older collector discs being sold.

i have one dan(millenium ss) 1.5 i believe. black. old school. stamp has been off for a while, but the actual integrity of the disc is still a 8\10 i'd say. now to dig it out of my garage....let me know if you're hard up for it. its in my stack of practice putters in the garage.

Steve: "Did you ask Houck about those frisbees for Dan?"
Rodney: "Clue?"
Clue: "Huh?"

that's likely...

Yes I am very hard up. I haven't had a putter worth a shit in 3 months and I'm pretty sure that's the reason Mosley has been kicking my ass by an average of 6 or 7 strokes.

Who's coming to Denver soon?

If you can find a grippy Banger GT or Wizard you'll have a much easier time replacing putters.

*Disclaimer*

Please save the suggesting me new putters as I'm quite certain they all suck. I'm aware my affinity to such putters is probably more sentimental than anything, but I feel more comfortable that way.

Even soft wizards are hard. I can't putt with that crap Tanner. When did you start?

Sorry Dano. I have 1 or 2 un-used old-school SuperSofts left, and I'm treating them like gold (hoarding and not sharing). After having used a new SuperSoft for a year, I can tell you it certainly isn't the same. Nostalgia or not, doesn't matter.

...Have you seen the Vibram soft link stuff? Its borderline liqiud. Just saying, if your looking for something like that that may be worth checking out.

The soft Vibram stuff I've held is similiar in flexibility, possibly more flexible than some blowfly's...the Vibram stuff might have a slightly more solid rim.

hmm. That almost sounds too flimsy, blowfly's were already borderline.

You wouldn't think it'd be that hard to hold onto a putter for at least a few years. If I could just find maybe 4 or 5 of them I probably wouldn't ever have to worry again.

Certainly no expert, I have thrown the floppy Vibram Summit. A lot. I love it for upshots and short drives. I don't like to putt with it, hard for me to get a good release. Gateway makes their putters in "E" plastic. Soft, grippy but not floppy. I'm at a disadvantage because I'm not familiar with the old millenium.
