I agree with you. I don't think we need to reinvent the wheel. Like I said earlier, this is why we elect you. Again, the biggest thing I'd like to see is that TJ be given the proper authority and respect when making these decisions. The biggest issue to come out of this conflict last year was whether TJ had the authority to tell one of these two tournaments no. I believe it's within his discretion to reject a tournament even if it falls within pdga guidelines if he doesn't think it's good for the area overall, and I hope he will make the right call in this situation.

I guess I'd further suggest that everyone submit what they'd like to do as early as possible, wait until the NT schedule comes out, and then have a deadline for all tournaments to be signed up or risk losing their date. If 2-3 areas want the same date then TJ will need to work with them to find other dates or make a tough call, but that's where the structure needs to come in.

I'm not sure how you're doing this, but I would like to put a "reserve" on June 5th and June 26th (so as to get one or the other) for the River Cities Rumble.

The one positive thing is the passion for the sport! You gotta love that! The one thing you can count on is change. So with more tourneys and more players change is just around the corner. Some of you guys that have been at this for awhile, do deserve some preferencial treatment and some real respect for getting things this far and doing it so well. To the other side of the coin there are some kids that are ready to do there thing and really challenge the norm per say. And good for them they are the future like it or not. So the thing to take from this is that yes change is coming and dont fight it, embrace it and try to positivly influence it to the direction you yourself would like to see it head.

What are you talking about? This has been completely civil chatter. We'll let you know when we need some expertise on where to take your sheep on Sat night.

Jason.

The state coordinator coordinates sanctioned events. Not every Tom, Dick, and Harry unsanctioned glow on a random Friday night crap. Get with the program here.

How do I go about getting dates for the Hub City Open 2010? We are discussing Sept 18-19 or Oct 16-17. Sept. date looks better though. I don't think I will be sanctioning again but I may change my mind.

It doesn't matter whether you sanction it or not. I'd just make a decision on the date asap and let TJ and everyone else know. Obviously you won't be able to prevent a competing tournament, but at least TJ can let them know it's happening if they go to him for approval.
