and melvin is the name I gave my semi-retarded hamster in the 4th grade...

We called a wedgie on a dude a Melvin when I was growing up and on a chick it was a Claudia.

the name melvin doesn't really embrace the feel of a badass like you thought it did. your aduacity is at best a shot in the dark @ somebody that took over a thankless job that doesn't pay, so you can participate in sanctioned tournaments in the great state of iowa. i hope you thought about how you are making a foul attempt at somebody that is on our side. the name melvin will forever be enshrined with all the great morons of all time......mulligan,munson,bush, and of course melvin. we will use terms like; what a melvin, and; that fukin melvin. and the ever popular;you gotta be a complete melvin. :o

I believe that a Melvin IS a Wedgie, however I always called them wedgies until Bill and Ted brought the term to the mainstream.
