Ideas for SC web page

Postby Cydisc » Wed Sep 13, 2006 9:24 pm

I plan to use the iowadg.com website as a portal for Iowa tournaments and information. At the very least, I'd like to get some type of user-friendly calendar that will show each month's events and provide information about each event and its TD.

Anything else... I don't know. I'm open to suggestions. The only limitations are Mike and Brad's web skills and server space. If you have any ideas or any type of question about absolutely anything regarding disc golf in Iowa, please post them here.

K, as you know, I love nearly all things Google.

Well, Google has a "Calendar" facility, with a built-in ability to allow anyone in the world to view the Calendar. It may even have collaboration, allowing more than 1 person to edit the entries. This obviously wouldn't be seamless with the iowadg site, but it might save somebody some work if there isn't a readily available and easy-to-use calendaring function.

Also, Google has their shared spreadsheets (for viewing and/or editing) function, which may or may not come in handy for any number of distributed organizational tasks.

Ask if questions.

We are exploring several different calander options including google, but are leaning right now towards a php application that will integrate with the forum.
But it will be coming very soon.

It's almost tournament time again. Could you define "very soon"?
