You know Phil Dodds the “2007 State Champion” ..... he’s a QC transplant that moved to DSM about the same time I did .... he’s the one that started the Rattler convo

Anyways I’m not laughing at you, I just don’t understand why you would limit yourself to one manufactures plastic when you are not sponsored.

I gotcha.

Really...as long as I have my mid's and putters, I am fine. The drivers can be mixed and matched however. I have a plethora of D'Craft drivers so I thought I would give them a shot.

On a side note...the Nuke feels pretty good. It is quite a domey disc though.

Yeah, Joe is one of our better disc reviewers on this mb. I definately give him props for that. It takes courage to try new things and consistently be objective about how you feel about them and how they fit into your throwing style.

I only carry and ESP Buzz, Z Avenger and a super beat up Magnet for jump putting. So, that wouldn't make any sense.

damn, beat me to calling you a disc whore! 8) It would only appear to me that Joe has enough stock of any mfgr's discs to simply swap his entire bag out for an event, and throw that brand on any given Sunday - and still compete.

I guess I based this on the fact that you were looking to trade or sell a large amount of Innova and Millennium Plastic for Discraft plastic recently. And the fact that you have carried all Discraft and all Millennium bags in the past, so I wasn’t putting it past you for doing it again; it kind of added up that way to me. I meant no offense by this assumption .... my bad.

I would agree. There are several discs I would throw if I had the choice but Discraft treats me well and the perks are too good to pass up. That being said, if I wasn't sponsored I would throw:

Drivers
CE Leopard
10x and 11x Teebird
Eagle
Predator
Pro/Champ Destroyer and XCaliber- I think they are relatively close to the Force but they seem to have a little better flight
1st Run Nuke- Would go with this over the Boss because the Boss feels odd and I think the Nuke factory runs have good stability

Mids
Champ Roc
1st/2nd run Buzzz
FLX Drone

Putters
Challenger
ESP Zone

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Actually, I've stumbled on to this site called Discaroo.com. Kind of like ebay, but just for disc golf and you can offer and accept trades. So, most of the guys that are getting rid of the Innova stuff I carry are looking for Discraft only, and usually what I mentioned I was looking for via trade. Then I just turn around and flip the Discraft on Discaroo.

AO, I saw you mentioned the Zone, I have an ESP and it's been treating me pretty well but I don't use it for putting at all, mid-range and short spike hzyers, guess it just seems like a slower FLX Drone (amazing disc) to me. What's it do in your bag?

I use the Zone for flex shots, short hyzers, and head wind putts. Def. like a slower low profile Drone with maybe a little more glide.

You guys should try using the DX zones. They have the stability of the esp's but they don't skip. The DX ones are almost like velcro on the ground.

On the nuke, I've only thrown it a few times. I have two of the memorial ones. Definitely a bit flippy/squirly. Very nice glide however. I have two of the first runs on the way and I'm excited to try those out.

What the line up looks like for this year at the start.

Drivers-
2 Nukes
3 or 4 Forces (still going to be the main driver)
2 Preds
2 or 3 surge's

Mids-
2 buzzes
2 or 3 zones
1 glide
1 meteor

Putters-
4 classic rocs

(I was hoping the ringer would be like classic rocs, but it was nothing like it)

Every now and then a wasp will jump in the line up at times, but not very often. Generally I'll carry 20 discs.

Which one do you like to grip lock straight right into the trees the most?
