2008 Z Buzzz

Postby AO » Thu Aug 21, 2008 3:59 pm

For those who throw and are interested in the Buzzz, I have heard the Buzzz being run now are in the 1st run mold and plastic so keep your eyes open. I don't think they will be marked any different so you may need to know your plastic or go to someone like Chase to determine what run it is.

Can someone describe the differences, so that I can watch out for them? Thanks AO!

The 1st runs were very flat topped. They also had a more pearly plastic to them. But I doubt they will be running that type of plastic again. As for the mold, it will say wasp on the inside of the rim if it is the true first run mold that they are using. But about the only way to tell would be to hold a 1st runner next to it if you have one. It's funny when the buzzz first came out, I posted my thoughts on the pdga message board and Keith from Discraft sent me two 1st run buzzz's for my time. I thought that was a pretty cool.

Well...other than the flat top, the engraving on the rim and the plastic, it would be very difficult to tell if it is. It sounds more like a ploy to get retailers selling more buzzz's. You know how many people will say...is this one of the new one's that is supposed to be like the 1st runs? Oh...it is? I will take it then. Easy marketing gimmick.

But if it does turn out to be true, there will some happy buzzz fans out there.

 I sell at least 2x more Buzzes than Rocs, but that's obviously because of my personal bias. I do wish we got more KC Pro Rocs in though. Maybe I'll have to "inject" some back into the rotation, to force my hand in the matter.
