I was holding both in my hands at a disc golf store down here and they looked and felt identical. Same dome, same edge, same wide rim.

And come on ... the Star Wars reference for both?!?

White are flippy and go really far. Great for hyzerflip distance. Orange are more stable and used for wind 10 mph or so and big hyzers.

That's eery. I used to wonder if Discraft Copied Innova's discs, and this makes it sound that way... I'm sure it isn't true, but I'd think Discraft could try a little harder to make it not seem like they were... LOL Their stuff is good enough to stand on its own, if they're not.

IMO....

Its not a Destroyer. Its more like a beat in Wraith or a Pro Wraith depending on color. Alot of people considered the Surge to be a Wraith, but I disagree with that as well. I thought they were more like Beasts.

Like the Surge they are easy to throw, but the Force is more effortless with better predictability and longer distance. It would probably be an X-Version of the Pulse, but I dont know with the re-tooled Pulse. I guess it could be considered a Surge X.

Either way, its the easiest Discraft disc Ive thrown and went into the bag immediately. Dont miss the Destroyer anymore either.

I agree with your connection of the surge and beast chase...I've never thought the surge flies like a wraith...much more similar...imo...to the flight characteristics of a beast...

Everyone copies everything. Almost all these discs that are coming out are just manipulated Spirits and Speed Demons. If McCormack had the money either of those companies had, we would have seen the Destroyer a few years ago. If the Flick were to be tweeked the right way, it would be a Destroyer. There was a thread about this on the PDGA site talking about how Cyclones blew everything out of the water and how Innova had to produce 2 or 3 different discs to match its capabilities. Nowadays, Innova is just in the best position to MARKET and experiment with thier molds, they have that stuff inhouse unlike Gateway, and they put themselves in that position. Kudos to them, but to think they are on the forefront of everything is just believeing what they want you to.
