Are they going over because they like the discs better or because the sponsorship is better? Or something else?

Yep, I have been talking to him the last month or so and he decided the other day. Please keep this off the pdga site. I think they announce it at the begining of the year. Speaking with Mike he said that he just liked what he saw in regards to the way discraft treats their players. He will definately recieve more incentives and yearly allowance in products. I'm glad he came to Discraft. Mike is a standout guy and a heck of a disc golfer as well.

Wow...Heeren to D'craft. That's actually pretty surprising.

His rating has been plummeting lately. Probably needed a change.

G. Bennett switched from Discraft to Gateway. Mixed bag sponsorship and "entries paid"

Alot of people are holding the incident last summer against Geoff, and thats understandable.

Personally, hes always been a great guy to me. I dont take to the company of cheaters much, but I do believe people make mistakes.

As far as his signing with Gateway, I feel this is huge for them. Bennett has a massive marketing appeal due to his sidearm..if used properly. Im not sure McCormack can do that, but if so, its a big deal for Gateway.

No doubt. Their best (other than Nikko) player for sure. Not sure how they will be able to market his forehand exposure to the public though.

Geoff gives a lot of bang for the buck since he's out there so much, almost tirelessly. A lot of the great but part-time players don't have such a presence.

I think a mixed bag option should help Geoff's game. He doesn't use a great variety of discs, just several choices each of a small number of molds. Then again, not getting to pick among countless discs at the Discraft plant may make getting top-notch discs for his drivers a problem.

And I know Geoff's been thinking of a central location out of which to tour, and StL may offer a better bet for him.

A bunch of Michigan guys are probably happy he won't be so close by so often, they might cash a bit more often.

Best of luck to Geoff with the new adventure.

Paul Ullibari just left the team also. He wasn't happy with not making the top level team so he dashed. IMO that's a bigger loss. Paul is what companies are looking for. He's well liked, young, enthusiastic, plays a lot of dg, and represents himself and dg positively.
