Buzzz vs Comet

Postby Athrawn17 » Fri May 18, 2007 4:05 pm

If you had to choose one, what would it be? I'm debating between these two in ESP plastic. Note that I haven't thrown either disc yet and would love to hear people's thoughts on them.

Thanks

Based on what I've heard the two discs seem somewhat similar. I've never thrown a Comet but I don't think you can go wrong with a Buzzz in any plastic. A Buzzz just seems to be able to do it all and has great range for a midrange disc. This is just my opinion of course.

I have thrown both in the ESP Plastic. The comet is actually very straight to a little understable right out of the box. The buzzz on the other hand is quite straight to slightly overstable right our of the box. If I was to give it ratings, I would say that the esp buzzz is a +1.5 and the Comet would be a 0.

Where's Steve onthis topic?! LOL

ANyway, I'm not gonna be abel to answer this from throwing them, but I believe the Comet might be a little straighter, with the bead on the bottom (i believe).

get a buzz. I carry both in my bag. The comet is REALLY understable. It's nice for anny shots but you should get the Buzz for an all around mid-range.

I wouldn't define the comet as really understable. More like really torque sensitive. It's one of the straightest flying discs ever made.

If you're talking about a new comet, then it should fly straight. Once the X Comets beat in, then they're great turnover discs. But you can still make an X Comet fly straight with some hyzer and finesse. The Z are even a bit overstable.

I have one that throws overstable and one that dumps hard right, both in good condition. So I don't throw them.

Never thrown a Comet, but I use the Buzzz for all of my mid range needs. Pick up the Buzzz.

Does Ron Russell still throw Comets? He was sick with those things, I didn't see how he could throw it so far without flipping it.
