2008 SAT(Saturday After Thanksgiving)

Postby SpikeHyzer » Tue Sep 09, 2008 7:49 pm

In trying to get things put together for the SAT(Saturday After Thanksgiving) mini that I try to run every other year...I would like to get a feel for those that are interested in playing. The last time I ran this it was Carroll Marty and Stable Run with lunch between rounds at Battle's BBQ. I would like to throw this out for voting this year and see what people's takes are on it.

Also, since I can't put two polls on one page. What are people's thoughts are entry fee for it? The last time I ran this we had about 15 people show up for it. I do believe fun was had by all.

And for you Grant...Battle's is definitely better than Daddy O's.

I was thinking either $10 per person and a new "E"/Champ/Star/ESP type of disc or just a flat $15 per person.

Thoughts...comments...questions...post away.

I voted Newton/Colfax. Good courses, overall not as taxing or time consuming. Only problem is closeness of food as I don't know restaraunts in either place. To be honest, If I'm not working, I'll play anywhere.
I'm sorry that the middle of my sentence interrupted the beginning of yours.

I like both Newton/Colfax and Lamoni. A Flat $15 is a lot easier as well.

And Jethro's is better than Battle's, Daddy O's, and Hickory combined!!!

Don't forget about heading south east to Osky/Ottumwa/Pella. I'd play any of them though so I won't vote.

I voted J?B Graceland, just to get down there. But I'd be down for whatever. I hope to do more of these type all day affairs this late fall/ winter.

I'll probably go, I'd rather do Newfax or Lamoni, and I'm not sucking anything.

In.

I'd recommend doing the CTP at Boone on hole 14, 17, or 18. Lefty prefers 14, but 18's basket is right by where we'll park, so it would probably be most practical.

Added an extra ctp.

CTP's:

CM Hole 16 - 2 E-Magic's
CM Hole 18 - 1 E-Sabre/1 SS Warlock (Depending on how many show, may move)
BN Hole 18 - 1 Star Destroyer/1 Sirius JLS

If you would like to donate a CTP, let me know.

Thanks
JT

I plan on it if we get back Friday night after we doing our usual holiday rounds across the State. It's not about sucking it up, it's about not posting a poll if you don't plan on using it  And I agree with Dan about something other than beer ........ I'd rather do Newfax or Lamoni.
