Nearest Courses to downtown Marriott

Postby Bradbalk » Tue Aug 03, 2010 6:47 am

I got this question in my email, can someone more familiar with the area answer it for me.
Thanks
Brad

I am from Oregon but I get to Des Moines once in a while. I will be in Des Moines in 3 weeks staying in the Marriott downtown. Where is the nearest course to there?
Is this the line for the beer, or the line for the coupons for the beer?

Grandview and Ewing are both pretty close. Im thinkin Ewing would be the fastest to get too.

Water Works is Technically the closest

yeah, and I left that off the list on purpose. I would never recommend that somone coming from out of town go and play that course before the other ones

If you are here next year, (or the next?) you could walk to McCrae from the Marriot. That would be the sweet center if it goes in.

But that bridge is soooo cool to walk over...
Can't go wrong with Ewing...

honestly is all about traffic when you leave. its easier to get to gvcc most of the day, but during rush hour is easier to get to ewing.

I still think ewing is easier at anytime. Just shoot down 2nd/Indianola to 14th and go to Mckinnely. Dont ever go down 14th the whole way
