The first 3 listed are all pretty high ABV, and the 12-pack was only 13 or 14 bucks if I recall. In my expert (ha ha) opinion, they're all pretty darn tasty.

I recently had the Floral IPA and it was complete shit. I was thinking more floral hops, but nope, its straight up floral shop rose petals in the mouth. Definitely on my worst IPA list.

Agreed. This will definitely replace SN Pale Ale as my fridge stocker session beer. Assuming I ever run out of homebrews and need a fridge stocker again.

2nd that, they went 100% the wrong way with that one! I've been drinking more Green Flash and Lost Coast lately.

Shameless plug: Me and a friend will be performing some acoustic stuff on Oct 2 at El Bait Shop (8-10pm, no cover), so come on down and enjoy some new Stone brews! Alex said they'll have Stone on tap on October 1st.

There are 3 pumpkin beers worth your time:

Dogfish Head PUNK
Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin
Terrapin Pumpkinfest (not as good as previous years, but still makes the list)

Any of those make it out to Iowa?

Nope, Nope, and Nope

Outside of the stuff from the likes of Rouge, Sam Adams, and mass produced versions form Blue Moon and Shock Top here’s what I’ve seen:

Pumpkinhead Ale - Shipyard Brewing Co.
Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin (Pugsley's Signature Series) - Shipyard Brewing Co.
Saranac Pumpkin Ale - Matt Brewing Company
Schlafly Pumpkin Ale - Saint Louis Brewery / Schlafly Tap Room
Pumpkin Ale - O'Fallon Brewery
Sea Dog Pumpkin Ale - Sea Dog Brewing Company
Small Patch Pumpkin Harvest Ale - Tommyknocker Brewery
Buffalo Bill's Pumpkin Ale - Buffalo Bill's Brewery

I’ve only had a couple of them and none of them really impressed me. Starting to realize I’m not a Pumpkin Beer fan.

I'd generally agree, but for some reason I want to do this ....

I kind of agree about the pumpkin, though I've had some I liked. Derek had a home brewed pumpkin a few weeks ago that I liked. It was pretty light on the pumpkin taste, and was really crisp, so not typical.

I try 2 or 3 bad ones each year, just to make sure they're terrible. And they are. The 3 I listed are definitely the exception.

^^Agreed^^

Pumpkin Beers = Bad Spiced Beer
Winter Warmers = Good Spiced Beer

(Obviously I'm generalizing a bit, but it holds fairly true)
