Glow Tourney - September 29

Postby actifed » Mon Sep 10, 2007 1:06 pm

Saturday September 29
Just for the heck of it we thought we'd move the Glow around again. Actually the only night the shelter is open for the next 2 months was the 29th. I didn't realize that when I made the last post, so you can direct your ire my way. Anyway, same deal as every year.

Lions Park Altoona
$20 gets you in, gets you glowing stuff, and helps pay for the band.
We'll start signups around 7:30pm on Saturday.
We'll get the golf started around 9:30pm. We'll do everything we can to make sure that you can play whatever tourney is happening on Saturday and the glow.

May be a little tight, Treasure Cove = 2 hours away and Hamilton = 3 plus hours.

Also, the registration fee gets you registered for the Ace Fund and Ring of Fire. Pick your card: $1 extra per person (5 person per card max); extra glow stuff: $2 per thing (glow necklace or package of glow sticks).

BYOBeverage, potluck snacks.

Yeah, but it was that or November (or not at all). It's also a home Iowa game. But, we'll do what we can to get people in who want to play Treasure Cove or Hamilton. No promises, but we'll see what we can do.

Or did you mean, The Band? It'll be tough with Rick Danko and Richard Bell being dead.

Hell, I'd still pay $20 to see Robbie and Levon, if the kegs any good.

Back to a full moon too. Not bitchin', just saying it before cydisc points it out.

It isn't perfect, but it's really our only option. Gator is working on most of the stuff including the band stuff.

Per recomendation of Greenwood a while ago... Pick up bobber lights to tape to your discs... Scheels has some upstairs in the fishing area.

Sweet, Shane! I saw Scheels only had 10+ after I bought a few, so they're light. See Shane instead of making a special trip for them, when they could be out.
