My brothers and I are coming up from Davenport tomorrow to check this course out. If any of you local guys want to play a round with us send me a p/m or meet us out there. We're going to be leaving at around 9:15 in the morning. We were also planning on playing Turkey Creek as well.

What an awesome course! Everybody should take a day up to IC and play this one, it's better than Middle. I love the mixture of woods and open holes. The only bad thing about this course is the long grass and the thornbushes. All around great couse. Nice job Jeff!

I'm glad you enjoyed the course. I played Prospect and Middle Park Friday just to have a look and though I may be partial, I like Peninsula way better. I wish it had more elevation, but it's a solid course. I liked some holes at Middle, and I've only seen one pin placement so far, so I'll have to wait until I've seen the whole course to really have a good feel for it.

Sorry about the long grass, but think of it as yellow rope like the USDGC and make an extra effort to stay in the fairways (I know, easier said than done). On many of those holes, placement is more important (to disc preservation) than distance. Windy days out there will just be killer.

I agree about the long grass. It really defines the fairways and makes it really difficult if you land in it. The wooded hole designs are magnificent. 14 and 15 will be devastating on windy days.

Baskets moved to A placement today.

Had a blast playing the new course with Stiers, Stibal, and Lindsley. Great work Jeff, Kevin, and anybody/everyone else that worked on this course. It is apparent that much work went into the design, as well as the construction of this course. Nice stairs, great tees, message board is unprecedented.......The list goes on and on. I'm very impressed.

Having played Fuller in Muscatine, the wooded section of this course (the terrain) reminded me a bit of Fuller----just Fuller on some serious horse pills. I really like the mix of holes, the wooded holes will make you really think carefully about every shot, or the stroke swings can be significant. Then the open holes are well designed for scoring, but not exactly easy scoring, they require thoughtful, great shot execution. Great course, very fair......Definately big tournament worthy. And yeah, it blows Middle away, not even close.

LOL!

Nice to meet you too. I'm sure we'll see each other again before you get a chance to don your Cubs WS Champs hat.

You just better be happy with the Cubs' domination of the Cards for now, we'll talk about the WS next October. I'm guessin' we'll both be watching another Spankmees win or something retarded like that.

jealous.....the more I've thought about this course.....the more I think that it WILL be regarded as one of IA's best. For those of you that haven't played it yet, get there, and get some rounds in, there will be big tournaments there.

Stibal is playing today? What if Notre Dame calls and needs another Rudy for tonight, he will miss his big chance. Best to be away and just say that if you would have taken the call they would not have got slottered.
