This course isnt ready for leagues yet. The rounds will not be finished in time, and I think it will hurt attendance. People are shooting for a low score, not wanting to look for discs all night and take bogeys.

The only thing that I thought needs to be stomped down are the long trails from hole to hole.

i havent played the course yet, havent even seen it in with baskets but i can understand what you are saying chase. it would be great fun and very exciting for me and the handfull of dedicated volunteers to see an organized event on this course but maybe that is still a few weeks away. i think that getting in a full round may be difficult in the time allowed. bottom line is that i would leave it up to the person who is running the league to make that decision.

if we decide to play the old course for leagues then i will probably skip it and play a round on the new course cause i have yet to play it and wont get another opportunity to play it until this weekend at the earliest.

I just got back from playing 9-18 in a doubles group and had a blast, but I don't think we would have close to enough time to get in a doubles round there. I would like to play there but it wouldn't work out tomorrow night. I am open to fielding ideas about playing X number of holes from Camden 1 and X number of holes on Camden 2 for next week.

We could just pour extra pins for the holes with long walks and then we'd have the fast track which is the shortest points between pins and tees.

4 C
5 B
8 C
9 C
10 C
12 C

All of these would eliminate the excess walking. Some pins have longer walks than others and some holes have longer walks due to the ravines and terrain.

Sign out front: THE COURSE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION - Some of the service roads have made things confusing - just a reminder - we are so far from being done, it's a little daunting to think what it's going to take to make it happen. But with concern comes action (I imagine ) so this Thursday night we are going to address some of these concerns (speed of play and ease of movement) So PLEASE come out and help make this course playable!

THE COURSE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION (only it all caps for sign emphasis)

I keep making this statement - I hope everyone realizes that the baskets being in is to allow us to play the course and beat it in (it's a treat). If we waited until everything was done, we'd still be a few months to a year out. Imagine where we'd be if it were not for Evan and Ron's chainsaws buzzing through the course 2-3 times a week!

I would agree that the course is not ready for a busy Camden league night. As much as I'd like to see it, we need more pins and more work on the paths between holes and better signs and directional arrows *(which are in the works)

So if you can help please come out and let's get it done! Thursdays at 5:30

Thanks

Just A reminder that if a few people could bring shovels then we could fill up my truck bed up faster with mulch and make more trips. thanks

I've been told that pitch forks work well.

Yesterday I cleaned the right side of the first fairway of hole 1 and part of the ravine. Then Evan showed up with mulch and built a Davey Bunker on the left side of hole 1. There was a route to the basket thank god, but it took about 2 hours to remove the Davey Truck bunker - but we got it!

Remember, this work night is in preparation for the volunteer tournament. It would be fun to play and not lose too many discs. So if we can get out there and make hole 1 better (which is notorious for lost discs and mulligans), and then slowly during the week whip it down with those golf whips from B&B - the course will play way faster!

Congratulations to Dennis Gonzalez for his ace on hole #10 last night [Lyme disease and all]! Denny took home $371.00 for his efforts! I believe he hit it with a Champion Spider. New ace fund starts next week.
