IN Had a blast playing 2 years ago. Got my room at the Red Roof Inn with 2 beds for 44.99. and its close. For those that want to take the family too this it works well. Both courses are in the same park and there is a nice pool with waterslides in the park. So cheap hotel and pool for rest of family while you play.

Details: 28th Annual Mid America Open. Columbia, Mo. This tournament showcases 3 Columbia courses, two courses at Albert Oakland park and the difficult Indian Hills accross town. New Belgium Brewing Company sponsored event for great players party. BYOP doubles on Friday noon

if you want to check out courses-> http://www.dgcoursereview.com/tournamen ... w&tid=3347

The schedule, from what I've gathered looks to be:

Open: Saturday: Back, Indian Hills
Sunday: Top, Back

Advanced: Saturday: Indian Hills, Top
Sunday: Back, Indian Hills

Int, Rec, etc: Saturday: Top, Back
Sunday: Indian Hills, Top

I'm sure Jay would agree with me, this tournament is great! The guys that run this thing know how to run an event... It is usually pretty flawless.... The players packs are usually awesome, fun courses, great competition, THE BEST players party I've been to (a couple kegs, BBQ, and many games with MANY prizes), and usually a Safari Final 9 with the top 4 pros. While the courses they have may not be quite to the level of what we have here (but who does????), they still present a tough challenge that requires you to execute your shots. If you can make it work, I highly suggest you go!

They also had a final 9 safari for the top 4 adv players a few years ago. Was fun, not really ness. tho. Esp after a 2hr rain delay. Won a nice discatcher for first in ADV. Visit Tropical Liqueurs if you go. Those drinks will mess you up without you realizing it, and you may just pee your pants. There is some nice talent to look at too....

heres more info from website

CDGC is gearing up for our biggest event of every year, the Mid-America Open Disc Golf Tournament. The 28th Annual MAO will be on July 7-8, 2012 and features 4 rounds of golf on 3 courses with a killer players' party on Saturday evening.

The weekend kicks off with a doubles tournament on Friday, July 6th. Bring our own partner and play a best shot scramble round on the Oakland back course followed by an alternate shot round on the Oakland top course.

We still do on-site registration from noon to 11 p.m on Friday, and Saturday morning from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Oakland Park.

If possible, please pre-register one of the following ways.
Register online at www.pdga.com or at www.lsdiscs.com. (Vendors will add a small fee for online registration)
Download a registration form, fill it out, and send it to us with your check or money order.
And remember, at the Mid-Am Women Play for Half Price!

If you pre-register, please be sure to check in at Oakland Park Friday afternoon or Saturday morning to make sure your division made, to let the TDs know you arrived so your name gets on a card, and to pick up your player's package (amateurs) and peruse the tournament stamped merchandise we'll have available.

Here's a quick run-down of our schedule.

Day / Date
Friday, July 6 Registration & Check-in 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Oakland Park
MAO Doubles Tournament 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Oakland Park
Saturday July 7 Registration & Check-in 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Oakland Park
Players' Meeting 9:30 a.m. Oakland Park (Pools A and C)
Indian Hills (Pool B -- Advanced divisions)
Round 1 Start 10:00 a.m. Oakland & Indian Hills
Round 2 Start 2:30 p.m. (tentative) Oakland & Indian Hills
Players' Party 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Oakland Park
Sunday July 8 Round 3 Tee Off 8:00 a.m. Oakland & Indian Hills
Round 4 Tee Off 12:30 p.m. Oakland & Indian Hills
Final 9 4:00 p.m. Oakland Park
Awards 5:30 p.m. Oakland Park

The final 9 will showcase the top pro and advanced players.

The players' party should be great again. New Belgium Brewing is sponsoring the Mid-Am and provides some good brew for our adult players and friends. We'll feed you (pulled pork with all the trimmings), draw you a cold beer or drink, and then give you a chance to play some more fun golf games. We have a great ring of fire with lottsa prizes, a mini golf tournament (for a nice mini basket), and of course, the CTP for a basket competition.

Our payouts are generous, our TDs are friendly, and our courses are fun to play! Come to Columbia for a great time with good people.

Hope to see you soon.

Sponsorships and Other Information
We will gladly accept all your donations of cash or merchandise to help run our tournament and provide prizes to the players. Bring discs or other merchandise for CTPs and the ring of fire competition. See our sponsorship letter for more information about cash sponsorships. For businesses, your sponsorship can be treated as an advertising expense.
