Nice shooting Drew and Greg, so damn close! KVN didn't do so bad either...

Woulda been cool to see Iowa take Pro Adv and Int.

On another note...nice shooting yourself Tanner!

not just master pro got shorted one too 23x40%=9.2, did not look at am payouts

Not complaining just curious and if I could play short courses a little better it would have been more. I shot 9 down on the harder course and 4 over on the easier course

Sorry didn't read all this before 11x40%=4.4 should they not round up as PDGA guidlines say

where do the guidelines say "round up" and why are you making a case for somebody that finished 10 strokes worse than you, which would have reduced your take?

The formulas in the tournament report where I calculate payouts don't round up, so I think you better check your facts.

As long as I have run tourneys that is what I was told you were supposed to do.

I was just asking out of curiosity never mind I ever said anything

You said "as the PDGA guidelines say", I was just curious where they say that....since they don't.

I'll say the West course was the easier course. Very little ob and all par 3's. More RHBH Hyzers.
If it kills, I got news, it ain't a side effect

Final 9

Postby Carter45145 » Mon Aug 15, 2011 11:25 pm

Does anyone know who was filming the final 9? Are they going to edit it and post it somewhere? Looked like he should have got some good shots.

The Final 9 was fun to watch. Good shooting Tanner!

Thanks to everyone from IA who came out to CCO this weekend. Its always great to see you guys come out and do well. I hope to see even more of you guys there next year.

As far as the payout conversation goes, I just set the "choose payout percentage" box in the spreadsheet to 40% and let it do the rest. I guess I didn't even consider whether or not it was rounding up or down. And I definitely didn't check it. The main thing that I focus on remembering is that the Masters division gets their fair share of the added cash. Anyway, the 40% "fluke" in the spreadsheet is something to consider for next year. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. We certainly have enough cash to pay out another spot if needed without anyone's payouts going down too much...

I believe the filming was being done by Sean Myers. He did it a couple years ago and put it on YouTube hole by hole. I hope he does it again. I'll try to send some emails and investigate.

Thanks again to everyone who made it out. Hope to see you all (and more) next year!

And thank you to all who put in the course work (I imagine its not easy to get that West course in that good of shape) and raised money. You will keep us coming back, thats for sure...
