I thought it was best 2 of 3, so that is incorrect? Was trying to find information for the exact format but got lost in the interwebz.

Ya, that's a tough match. Good showing so far for clue. Weather looks beautiful down there.

For sure. Mcbeth is certainly a top player. I think he still got his entry fee back atleast for winning the first round though. Did I see it costs 500 to get in?! Thats LUDA!

I can't imagine that, that is crazy. This definitely looks like an event I would love to try and play someday. I'd have to use up all my days off for school, but it would be worth it.

Well my usual 865 rated fantasy play is right on track...should finish in the top 75% which is pretty solid for me.

I think the USDGC last year was my strongest showing...with two of my guys not even finishing - actually one didn't even start. This year, I let Clue talk me into picking him despite 50 rating points to give - guess that's why I steer clear of fantasy football.

Great Job Clue - finish strong with a winning record and you cash!

The obvious reason is to have a 2nd and 3rd set of eyes for calling rules. We had to make a couple judgements on where stuff went out. Much easier to get a neutral call than fight with your opponent.

Thanks guys. Unbelievable day. I'm really excited with how I played. I was so focused and so pumped up playing Phil that I didn't have much left for McBeth. That being said I got off to a good start winning 2 and 3. He won 4 and 5 (all birdies). Had the match square through 12. If I had made my putt on 13 or 14 I would've at least gone to extra holes. As it was I gave away 15 and he sealed it on 17.

The way it works now is that I go to a 1-1 bracket. All 3-2 finishers win $500 and qualify for next year, so lot's to play for still. Really looking forward to tomorrow. Thanks for all the support. This is really cool.

BTW, there are a few details here that were overlooked, but when you see something like the Northwestern story at Wrigley field it's hard to criticize these guys! BTW, I flew over Wrigley and saw it landing at Ohare. Also saw a 500 acre brush fire flying into Orlando. The smoke reached the Atlantic from probably 100 miles away. Pretty cool seeing that from 30,000ft.
