It is somewhat peculiar, as are most things Innova.

I really look forward to this event. Having to qualify is another facet I love. Not everyone can go, unless you get in through one of the loop holes.

I was fairly put off by the whole thing last year. I really came home hating Innova, and I'm not sure why. So whatever on this "press release"....this might help me get to Europe or the Players Cup next year.

And Innova takes the bull by the horns to compete with Discraft on a national amateur tournament, and probably do it better.

Discraft does a great job with Am Nats. I doubt Innova will try to duplicate that format but will cook up something different, maybe doubles, maybe involve skills like EDGE, maybe more divisions than just MA1. Guess we'll see by the end of the year. I suspect they haven't planned to finalize their format and any details until after getting thru this USDGC.

Whatever Innova has planned at Rock Hill next year will fail miserably, i will guarantee it. Just like their exclusive little NC am exemptions a couple years back.

They mean a lot to some ams.... You wouldnt be saying that if you had won BG or Worlds.

I was put off by Innova. The tournament was fine and the lake house was the bomb. more than likely the quirky tweaks Harold makes vs. some real changes is what usually pisses me off. Making rope tighter and having OB play differently is silly IMO. Having pin locations move everyday, now that's some real change. The idea that USDGC is the experiment lab for rules that INNOVA wants to test makes me feel like a guinea pig.

Barely.

Of course everyone knows Blaine Kinkel was going for the Am Triple Crown (which Wiggins finally won this year) and came up short losing Worlds to Matt Keatts after having won BG and Am Nats. It was covered extensively by PDGA Media. Didn't Feldy win the USDGC last year?

Why does it matter WHO won them? But yes I know who won both, whenever you get done. I think it would be pretty badass to have a world title under my belt, or an AM championship like Steve-o. Some people arent good enough to play Open, and play am for their life. And these are great ways to see how you stack up against ALOT of players around your skill level. I seem to remember you bragging about winning a few B and A-tiers in ADV when we were talking about who was to be on the DM team earlier this year...How do they mean shit?
