I will second this caution. Both times I have driven this recently there has been a cop running radar right by geneseo.

Also, DO NOT ride with MDR3000 ... he is a cop magnet!

Registrations are still coming in. If you know of people planning to come, tell them to call the shop today/tonight and get on the list. Seriously.

Directions to the course

Postby Chace » Fri May 07, 2010 5:10 pm

Hey so I read the post on the Mississippi bridge being closed and i'm coming from Cedar Rapids so once I hit I-80 do I just take the I-280 exit and keep going that way and then it turns in to I 80? It looks like it'll be super easy to find unless I'm on the route with the construction. :?:

A ton of radar out there on 80 today. Also, be aware that using a cell phone in a construction zone is illegal.

How many holes have long tees? Are we only playing the ones that were flagged? Hole 4, for example, I thought I remembered a long one for this one, but couldn't find it today.

Thanks
Dana

Great job today Chase, Jess, and other crew. I have to admit when I rolled in Friday I thought this course looked retarded and was not happy I came up for this event (before I offend anyone too greatly let me say it's because I have a mancrush on quad city courses and thought this was a newer addition), but after finding a few fun holes and getting to know it a little I started to look forward to it. The wind definitely made that course something to contend with.

Nikko took care of business. There was some pretty good golf today considering how windy it was. There really weren't the crazy blowups I expected to see with the steep hills and wind (except for Doogie, but that's the only Adv player I really talked to).

Fun tourney. Thanks Chase, Jess, Iron Lion Crew, and anyone else who helped. Wind on holes #2 and 3 was wicked!

Great job Chase, Jess, and the Iron Lion crew! Sweet payout! My whole body was sore all day Sunday from walking the hills.

Well run event, as always. Thanks so much to Jess, Chase, Ron, Evan, Tim Miller, and all involved.

Pork sandwiches were awesome!

Only Sunday? Man you recover quick. Of course working in the yard all day yesterday didn't do me any favors.

Thanks Everyone for coming, and congrats to all the winners! As this event continues to grow, it may be time to consider a 2 day.

Thanks to everyone that made my day very easy. Ron, Evan, Jessica, Tim, Paul, Boze, Andrew Jacobs, Mr. Bill and the rest of the Team, and especially Jeff Mallum and the Geneseo Park Department who had the course looking awesome.

I think there will be a later date for this next year, as I would like to get away from Soccer. The backside of the park where all the Soccer is played is where the real temp holes are, and there was no way to get to them. I would expect a few of the actual holes to disappear and to be replaced by long temps for next year. This course has enough room to grow into another course, and I think it will be showcased next year. I also have some other stuff planned, so keep it on your backburner.

Thanks Again Everyone!
