that's easy, golf discs have a beveled rim and lids do not.

I'd say if you can throw it over 300 it's not a freestyle disc.

That makes no sense at all. Ultimate discs can be thrown 300'

Maybe I should have said if I can throw it over 300'. I could volunteer to stand in the parking lot before events, certifying discs.

Back to the point though, what is a reasonable long throw average for a freestyle disc? I rarely see golf shots hit 400, so I was thinking 300 would be pushing it for freestyle.

I would say 200' is a reasonable distance and topping out around 300'. I'm speaking of any ultimate disc, I haven't thrown any other lids really.

I don't think Zephyrs go much farther than that anyways.

You wont be able to get 300 out of a Zephyr. Some might, but it wont be everytime, and they arent that common.

Damn, I have a lot of practicing to get in. Throwing one of those for the first time is humbling experience. Ditto for throws 2-50.

Rain or Shine. Snow or Hail. Hell or High Water.

We will be playing in it.

Okay, I hope this doesnt matter much to people as this is a fun based event. But...Im going to take down the entry price on all fields and also make REC and INT unsanctioned. This means if your not a PDGA member, you can play without having to pay the extra 10$. However, You wont recieve a rating based on your round play.

I probably should have done this awhile ago, but with the weather predictions Ive seen, Im thinking its going to be a pretty much local event.

So...

Pro 30$ ( +10 Non-PDGA )
Adv 25$ ( +10 Non-PDGA )
Int 20$
Rec 15$

I bought a bunch of the hand warmer packets last night and will have them for sale for $1.00 for 2, I'm not trying to make money just want to make sure everyone has them that needs them.

Heading on to C2 to set a few fires out in the woods. The weather is much nicer than originally forecasted, so come on on and give the super class discs a try.

Damn good time today, the weather wasn't the best and neither were my shot, but it was the most fun tournament I have played in a long time. Thanks for putting this on Chase, and congrats to Sprague and Denny on their wins. I can't wait for the next one.

Congrats to Sprague and Denny! Great Job also to David Arango, second in Open. I played both rounds with him and he played great.

Thanks Everyone for coming and playing, it wasnt a great turnout, but its a start.
